Our group was inspired by one of our group member's abstract art piece from earlier in the semester. We used it as a template or a reference in our abstract painting. Our development of our piece was a process, it was certainly not easy from the start. We encountered many roadblocks, and we didn't tackle them head on, but eventually we learned how to collaborate with each other. One of the artistic behaviors we exhibited were #3, 'We Solved Problems.' As a group, we ignored what each other wanted to contribute in the project, but we somehow came to a consensus at the end. We learned that making a project combining all of our ideas would make the best painting! Another artistic behavior we showed was #7, 'We Took Risks.' All of us were a little skeptical about this step, we liked to be in control and have structure. We learned to let go and just have fun with it, using textures and splatter paint, as shown with the red and greenish dots. We used the element of space, alluding to negative space, where the blue line continues even after it is covered up. Lastly, we used #5, 'We Observed.' Mostly me at first, because m group members were hesitant to let me contribute, but then they stepped back and observed what I could bring to the table.
